Fascial Stretch Therapy
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a personalized manual stretching therapy that focuses on our connective tissue that surrounds the muscles, bones, joints, nerves, organs, and ligaments of our body. As humans, our bodies thrive while we are in motion, and FST combines gentle traction with PAIN FREE stretching. FST sessions are specifically customized to your unique needs as we address your specific conditions, as well the entire body as one complete system. Chronic tightness, pain, and stress leave the nervous system in a state of fight-or-flight. FST helps bring balance and harmony to the nervous system, allowing the body to enter a parasympathetic state where we heal, rest, relax and restore.
Often times, our overall body composition is a direct result of the way we live out lives. From the sport we played growing up and the injuries that came along with it, to the way we sleep at night, and how we train today has over time created imbalances in our bodies. If we spend years carrying children around on one hip or work in a sedentary profession that has us leaned over a computer, our body begins to develop certain patterns, and our bodies begin to adhere to these poor postures and movements. You may notice tightness or pain in your spine, hips, and knees. It may be getting more and more difficult to recover after a hard day of yard work or a long morning run.
Each Fascial Stretch Therapy session is personalized and 100% unique to your specific needs. The full benefit of what Fascial Stretch Therapy has to offer comes from a one-on-one session designed to help you alleviate pain, increase flexibility/mobility, understand your physical and mental state, and improve how you move through life. Sessions begin with a postural and/or mobility assessment, as well as special attention to your individual needs, goals and restrictions. Ultimately, it will be your body that will guide me as I design a personal program for you.
I look forward to helping you get back to whatever your normal is, and helping you achieve your most prodigious goals.
