The Next Chapter – Lunenburg, NS

Things have began to settle down, and I’ve finally had some time to reflect on our grand opening that was hosted this past Friday. Before I get too deep into this blog post, I would just like to say thank you. Whether you were able to make it to the opening day, sent a message of encouragement, followed along on Facebook/Instagram, or booked your next appointment at the new location, thank you. Thank you for your continuous support in making my dream job a reality. Everything that I do is 100% for you, and I am so honoured to be a positive light in your life for your wellness needs.

Opening Day!! May 3rd, 2019. Thanks to my superhero momma for the beautiful starfish that she scattered throughout the room.

Our opening day was a huge success. From 2-7pm, on May 3rd, we had all three treatment rooms in our ‘Wellness Hub,’ open. The ‘Wellness Hub,’ is a co-leased space, that allows each wellness practitioner to run their own business along side of other practitioners who’s services do not compete, but simply compliment each other.

Room #1 – Shaelyn Elliott RMT ‘The Stretch Fairy’

Services provided include:

  • Stretch Therapy
  • Thai Massage
  • One on One Stretch Coaching
  • Semi-Private Thai Stretch Classes
  • Nutritional Coaching
  • Creative Wellness Workshops/Collaborations
  • Wellness Practitioner marketing -photography/branding

Room #2 – Bluezone Wellness & Friends

Bluezone Wellness owner Christa Heyne has created a ‘co-op’ working space for wellness practitioners such as councillors, reiki practitioners, body workers, nutritionists, etc to thrive and grow in the heart of Lunenburg. Christa rents her space for just $10/hr, minimum three hour rental, and allows you to run your part-time practice from a breath taking ocean front room.

Room #3 – Rachael Jessup – Wellness Within, NS

Services provided include:

  • Reflexology – treatments available for all ages
  • Indian Head Massage
  • Creative Wellness Workshops/Collaborations

You can book your appointments with Rachael here:

It was great to see so many familiar faces, connect with small town businesses, local residents and tourists visiting for the day. It is already so easy to tell that we are in for a busy summer!

My Vision

When coming across this incredible space, I immediately knew it was the perfect spot to bring every work related vision I’ve ever had to life. The 13×13 foot room provides undeniable comfort, incomparable natural lighting, accents from the ocean, and more than enough space for all services currently offered – Stretch/Massage Therapy, Thai Massage, One on One Stretch Coaching, Semi-Private Stretch Classes & Wellness Workshops.

As the ‘Stretch Fairy,’ brand philosophy saying goes: “It is my promise that whatever time we spend together will be dedicated to improving your physical health and well-being, in a way that will give your body the freedom to move in ways, you never dreamed possible,” we now have a set up that doubles as both a treatment room, and mini studio to offer you even more tools to ensure the best opportunity for you to become your greatest self.

Treatment Room

The room is set up in an untraditional, yet extremely effective way that will allow you to get the most from your treatments. There are two five foot mirrors hung on the far wall, and my reasoning for this is so that you can see your movement patterns the same way that I do. Depending on your own specific conditions and/or injuries, there are definitely times when your assessments, stretching, and home care exercise run throughs can be complicated and challenging.

Mind body awareness is something that so many of us lack, and if exercises/stretches are not done properly, they will not have the effect that they were intended to. Being able to not only feel, but also visualize a stretch or exercise will activate a separate part of a your brain, and is highly beneficial in ensuring your ability to remember what you have been taught.

‘Mini Studio’

When running stretch classes, the room is easily converted into a ‘mini stretch studio,’ and allows room for up to four participants per class. ‘Thai Stretch,’ classes are offered on a weekly basis. Over the duration of 60 minutes, we complete a full body stretch sequence, and incorporate various Thai Massage and Stretch Therapy assisted stretching techniques to ensure that you get the most from your session. These classes are an extremely beneficial learning tool, as you will be able to take these stretches home with you, and complete them during your own time.

If you are looking for a fun thing to do with friends before going out for supper, or on a dreary day, you also have the option to book your own private stretch class at a time that is convenient for you. Similar to the ‘Thai Stretch’ classes, private bookings are capped at four people.

Creative Workshops – often featuring Rachael Jessup

Rachel works across the hall from me in Room #3. She specializes in Reflexology and Indian Head Massage, and has a successful jewelry business – Sand Dollar Silver.

Our vision for our workshops was to create an experience that would allow you to give back to yourself, mentally, physically and spiritually. Through creativity of one of a kind project, you will have a take home memory of Lunenburg, as well as your time with us. Through guided stretching, you will allow your body to reset during your time by the ocean. By taking part in a mini therapeutic treatment, you will allow your mind to be still and your body to heal.

Each workshop that we run is one of a one of a kind experience that can not be replicated. If you would like to ‘create your own workshop,’ for your upcoming event, girls night, reunion, etc, please do not hesitate to reach out, as we are always eager to add a unique flare to your event planning.

If you would like to book an appointment and/or service, head to the home page of this website, ( and hit the “Schedule Appointment,” button to book yourself in for a time that works best for you.

Thanks so much again to all of you who continue to show your love and support. It means the world!

Lots of love,
